he doesn't have all his head now because of his medication, my brothers don't talk to him anymore but I have dinner with him about once a week, he feels pretty lonely.

it's sad because my brothers don't seem to understand the strange things he might say are because of his medications and they get mad at him.

He does take a lot of energy but it's still our father.

I`m glad you are trying despite the frustration and all.  You have a lot to bear considering such circumstances and I hope it all works out between the both of you and that he gets better.  You should be commended in your efforts.
