I remember him from when I was a kid in the 80s. He used to come on at the end of 60 Minutes and make pithy remarks about individuals or humanity in general, grouchy puzzled observations about the cute but awkward shit that we do, etc. A sort of Garrison Keillor without tits and sighs. Maybe it's because I was young and he brought the funny, but it's the only part of that show that sticks out in my memory. Pretty sure most of the viewers suffered through Babawa Wawa's crap just to get to his ending segment. Seemed like sooner or later he owned everyone.
