eastern philosophy encourages people to be happy what they have, meditate and be one with everything and blablabla, all that shizzle. That when you conquer a galaxy you are still unhappy because you realise there are other galaxys to conquer so you are never happy. The biggest problems in human history is due to people wanting more even though their life was just perfect.
Western philosophy is the opposite. You can't achieve enough, because too much is never enough, more more more, then you are happy. And to do all that only so you can show off to people and make them worship you as an idol perhaps. Having your "legacy".
I think that for me, western philosophy is the ideal in order to be happy, actually. But I want sustainabilty. When I lose everything I should be happy, when I gain, I'm just as happy...
