Victor Martinez - Denied Bail - in jail until 2012

VICTOR MARTINEZ DENIED BAIL!

November 8, 2011

One month after being detained for immigration issues, Victor Martinez appeared in front of a judge today to determine if he would be allowed to post bail and get out from behind bars until his next hearing.   Martinez was denied the opportunity to post bail and he remains in custody.   As of now, he will remain in mandatory detention without bail until his next court appearance scheduled for January 6, 2012.

Martinez' attorneys have filed for a parole request that could free the Arnold Classic Europe Champion until the next trial, however it is uncertain whether it will be granted.

Our prayers are with Victor and hopefully everything works out in his behalf.

His court date today was at an Immigration Center, and his Jan 6 court day is an ICE meeting.

I don't get it is he an illegal alien? How could a big name like him get away with this for so long without getting caught.

I don't feel sorry for him.  He's too relaxed and doesn't take care of things.  Should have got his citizenship when he had the opportunity, before his drug charges.  He should have thought about things, not been so lazy.

I highly doubt this issue is due to immigration status or even visa issues. 

They don't arrest people due to visa or minor immigration issues like an expired green card.  To keep a man behind bars (without parole) sounds highly suspect.

At most they would simply deport him to the Dominican Republic if it were merely an issue of him being an illegal, but this smells like something a little more serious.

and Victor won his pro card from 2000 NPC Nationals, but according to NPC rules, Competitors must be US citizen that can compete at national level, so how could he compete in 2000 without a citizenship?

Anyone with a brain can see how sneaky gh15 can be,... let me explain, he conveniantly stated he talked to his boys in washington about Victor prior to Victor being releases on bail antecipating Victor being successfully released so he can say " ya you see how big gh15 is, my frinds in washington said they will see what they can do" and VOULLA... Martinez out on bail
