Author of tough Arizona immigration law loses recall election

The state senator who wrote Arizona's controversial immigration law conceded defeat Tuesday night in a recall election widely seen as a referendum on tough measures against illegal immigrants.

"I want to thank those people who have stood by me," said Russell Pearce, who represented a suburban Phoenix district. "It doesn't look like the numbers are going my direction ... and I'm OK with that."

No it's not a shame, Obama will win, the house will go democratic, and the senate will remain the same, corporations will have to pay big time, union's will flourish, outsourcing will become illegal or have a heavy penalty so it is not worth it, tariffs on goods coming from china, Obama 2012 and beyond.

there's a lot of evidence the tea party movement of 2010 has lost its momentum.

yesterday's elections were essentially a 'tie'.

if this trend continues and momentum keeps returning to the dems, then they will have some advantages in 2012.
