So I ended up getting 3rd in the Light-Heavyweight class! I'm very happy about that placing being this is a provincial/state level show which means i'm now nationally qualified too! The guy that won it got 2nd last year, he was a little sharper than me. There was supposed to be 8 of us after we weighed in Friday, but then come saturday only 5 of us showed up. Apparently nothing happened health wise, they just backed out. Alot of people said that 2nd and 3rd were a toss-up, the guy that beat me there finished 2nd in this class last year, so they each basically just moved up a placing, and he looked great. I was the youngest in the class being 22, the other guys were 29-38, but I managed to hang with them. Anyway here's a few pics, i'll be getting a lot more in a couple weeks once the promoter gets them sent to me. Got some great feedback on my physique and presentation/posing. There was a pro there who gave me my trophy and he said that I looked so comfortable on stage during my routine and he loved my transitions, was shocked it was my first show and said i'm a naturally good poser. I didn't even practice though and I picked the song the day before lol... cool to hear though. I went into this not knowing what to expect, so it was great to hear.
Oh, and just wanted to mention my brother won the Middleweight Class and got 2nd in the Juniors. The Junior that won was 6' 240lbs and my brother is 5'9 175lbs so they went with size there. My brother had better conditioning by far though, some of the best in the show if not the best actually. He just did nationals a month ago so he rebounded and came in even better here.
This prep was based entirely on gh15's bible. The diet, cycle, training, everything. I might make a thread and go into details just for fun.
Stats here: 22 years old, 5'8 200lbs(190lbs at weigh-ins 24 hr before)
