How do you figure?  There are more figure and bikini competitors than fbb and both pull larger audiences.  I sure see more figure and bikini competitors on the pages of bb and fitness magazines than fbb's.  Publishers wouldn't put them on the pages if they weren't popular.

The mainstream probably prefers the look of bikini or figure, but the mainstream doesn't attend shows.  At the Olympias and Arnolds I've been to, the female bodybuilders get a larger response than the other divisions.  Maybe it's because crowds that attend shows appreciate the work of a bodybuilder, rather than a girl who trains for 3 months and gets her bikini pro card.

Those pictures of her which were supposed to be before she began bodybuilding were actually after she'd switched to figure. Here's a real before and after pic that shows how much muscle she gained. This is the best before pic available, about 2 or 3 years after she'd begun, after pic about 6 years later.
