Ah, teachers...the teachers of today (the ones from gen X and Y)---many are not quality teachers, it's hard to find good teachers, chances are he found one that was stripping and decided to become one. Or she was a "teacher's aide"....
Really? When was the last time you were in a classroom? I want to know what other profession, other than being a doctor requires a Master's Degree to get hired, and then continuous, constant professional development in order to keep your job? All while still only making "maybe" 60 grand a year, when you've been at it for 15-20 years, with 80-100 grand in student loans? I'm not saying everyone is great at their job, and there are some who shouldn't be near a classroom, (most of them burn out quickly) but really, have you even been close to a school lately? Disrespectful students are EVERYWHERE on EVERY grade level. Discipline is non existent because we are too busy being politically correct, parents are no where unless they are being fed, or they feel, God forbid their child has been unfairly picked on by those awful teachers. "What do you mean Johnny beat the shit out of some kid, or told you to fuck yourself, what did you do to him?" Oh, and we have to teach all of them the same curriculum, at the same pace, and they all have to succeed at the same rate, no matter where they come from, what their previous educational experience has been, their cognitive ability, etc, or else the teachers and the school are labeled "in need of improvement" or worse. We have become their emotional stability, possibly the only constant in their lives, all while making sure they have at least two square meals a day, we clothe them, (bathe them in some cases) oh yeah, and teach those same students who haven't slept, and are busy raising their younger siblings at 9 years old how to read, write and do math. What is your job responsibility, what happens if you're having a shitty day? There are no shitty days allowed in the life of a teacher, you have at least 25 kids staring you in the face, waiting to be educated.
