Yes... OxFord... They only cover a 10ml vial of Test Cyp per month.  Nothing special, but hey a free vial is a free vial.

Yeah I get my blood work every 3 months.  I'm pretty big on keeping my health in check.  I get prescribed Test and Deca, but only the Test is covered and the copay on the vial of Deca is like $100 and I'm not paying that when I can get just as good Deca from a reliable source for half the price.

They do check my levels, but since I'm on, my Test levels are through the roof thus showing that I'm on.  My doc has never questioned it and since I don't cycle off, I don't plan on asking questions that could create a problem.

Reality is this... if you go to your doctor and your honest (remember, they're not cops) and say "Doctor, I'm going to start using Steroids, but I'd prefer you prescribe them as opposed to me getting them off the street."  The doctor might then try to convince you not to but in the end you're an adult and you explain that it's your decision and you are going to do it whether he prescribes or not.  There is a good chance that he will prescribe at that point because he can at least monitor your health and know that the drugs he's giving you are clean.  As far as health insurance is concerned, depends your carrier, plan, etc... Just call the # on your insurance card and ask.

The only way that I know of is if you have a legit reason and prescribed by an endocrinologist

Oh also, most doctors will tell you that it's not necessary to "cycle off"... They know the deal.  That has been my experience with the 2 different doctors I have had prescribe for me.  They both said the same thing... "If you want to have children, let me know, and we'll cycle you off, and get you on HCG (via a specialist) so that can happen.  Until then, it won't cause you any harm to remain on."

I would advise going clean though for over a month if you want to get prescribed.  That way when they run your initial bloodwork, your test levels are in the gutter.

BINGO!

Most internal medicine guys will not touch this kind of patient due to the potential legal ramifications (They prescribe it to you, you then get your hands on it and possibly sell it to underaged kids for a profit on the street = bye bye medical license).

Depends on the doctor.  I wouldn't go to a basic family practitioner with this stuff, but there are plenty of doctors around who do it.  The guy I go to specializes in male patients (has about 2,000 of them) and many of them are cancer/AIDS patients suffering from muscle wasting, many are on general HRT, and the 1 vial he is prescribing to me per month isn't having the feds beat down his door.

That's my regular doctor.  He's listed as my primary care physician on my medical insurance.

Seriously, just find a reliable source and get your stuff that way.  It's much easier.  Then go to your doctor, tell him your on, and you want him to check your blood work and organ function every few months to make sure your health is solid.  Doing this is a much more hassle free method for you and your doc.

Is there a possibility that the primary care physician could refuse treatment and tell you to go somewhere else? In my line of work I have seen medical reports where doctors refuse treatment due to drug seeking behavior. Of course that has been for pain meds, not test.

MDs that specialize in HRT and Endocrine issues (Like Coach said, an Endocrinologist).  These guys deal with these types of patients daily and so it's technically harder for any red flags to go up once they place someone on testosterone.

Yes.

Just as pain management doctors will send away patients whom have no known issues with neuropathic pain, post-surgical pain, fibromyalgia and/or chronic condition-related pain, they will also send away patients who just show up because they feel a recent decline in energy or libido (if their bloodwork and muscle mass says differently).

This shit is getting trickier as the years go by, more and more doctors are seeing their colleagues going down in flames due to stupid scripts being handed out and they are not willing to lose their license.

Over here in Holland you can get it with a doctor's prescription. No need for blood tests and stuff, if the doctor goes along. Of course we pay loads of income tax over here.... :D

Testosterone cream, 1x day with a blood check every 6 mos. Put the test cream on before the icy hot, never ever the other way around.

Your own Family Physician can prescribe HRT if he feels the need. It doesn't always have to be for low test levels, it could be for adrenal fatigue, G.A.D, many other variables.

You may get referredt to and Endo dependent on your age and how long you have been with your Family doc.

A 10ml. vial of Cyp once a month and a big bag of pins is about it. You have to be smart about how you are going to explain that you are fine with self-injects. You may want to get the doc to do it for you until you have convinced him you are cool with it. They usually try and prescribe a Gel first, so you have to diplomatically talk him out of that too.

You will get lab once every three months (or so) ~ going to see your doc with a tight T-shirt isn't going to help unless you are a fat ass (and we know that NOBODY here is short of standing on stage at any given time)

You also need to be at least 40 + years old, otherwise it will be all endo, and he WILL see through your B.S.

Don't bother asking to have your GH levels checked. They are so minute, that it won't matter how low they are. You just basically have to be a midget, which still doesn't work in my case.

Don't forget, if you are looking ripped, vascular and huge at the Pharmacy, the Pharmacist and your doc communicate a lot. Yeah, they stand to lose a customer, but to them it's better than losing a license.

Have fun. Get old.

Yes most major insurances will cover HRT as long as there is a legit reason.   I have been on it for about 3 years now and never had an issue with my insurance company.

They do constantly do blood workup to test your levels but it is not that uncommon for people to be prescribed test for real reasons ie body doesnt produce test, testicular cancer, other body abnormalities, etc.
Wait for it....
