NO MORE NPC "CELEBRITIES"
« on: November 15, 2011, 05:59:29 PM »
Just finished listening to PBW and they were talking about how the addition of more pro cards has led to less well known national level athletes.  I think this is a good point.  Bobby Chick and Palumbo and all those other guys were going for it year after year and it was awesome seeing those guys face off at the USAs and Nationals year after year.  With all the extra pro cards there is no longer that element.  If Palumbo were competing today he probly would have gotten a pro card  :D

it's like that watching college basketball as well.

Everybody jumps to the pros after 1 year, and the talent pool in college is garbage, and it's no fun to watch.

Maybe they should play with the age numbers or experience pre-reqs to become a pro? ...

It all has to do with the ease of qualification.  Take the Olympia for example, now that you have to WIN a show to go to the Olympia, the competition will be stiffer.  If they cut down on how many qualifications they gave out, the competition would tighten up pretty qucik.
