they just don't want Mitt:

Gingrich leads in California
PPP's national poll released yesterday found Newt Gingrich leading the Republican field and our numbers in California over the weekend back that up: Gingrich is on top there with 33% to 23% for Mitt Romney, 22% for Herman Cain, 6% for Rick Perry, 5% for Ron Paul, 3% for Michele Bachmann, 2% for Gary Johnson, and 1% each for Jon Huntsman and Rick Santorum.

This is only our second time polling California all year and the first was in late January, more than 9 months ago and before we were even including Cain in our polling. But comparing the 2 polls still says something about the state of the race. In January Romney was at 22% and here in November...he's still at 22%. Meanwhile Gingrich has nearly doubled his support from 18% early in the year to his current 33% standing. Gingrich is surging while Romney just sort of stays in place.

The Republican base does not want a Mormon as their poster boy.

That's just the facts.

i dont know if its a mormon - as much as a terrible people person, who was a textbook dem for a decade, a lifetime wall street guy, trying to buy and sneak his way into the white house.

and he'll probably win the nomination.

the Mormon thing is not even on my radar.   I just don't trust the guy.   I would crawl over broken glass for Romney over Obama no doubt, but he is my least choice at this point.

Ovpbama has to go.

I dunno man... I think it's totally the Mormon thing.

That's just my opinion of course.

Ive been saying it will be him since the beginning. While he's a bad people person, he's got no real red flags aside from the Mormon issue.

That's why he will win the nomination.

333

you packed a lot of crazy/stupid into those three sentences

you don't care about the Mormon thing and at the same time you also don't trust Romney but you would still crawl over broken glass for him (btw - I doubt that you would)

given that set of facts why would you not support Huntsman ?
