well you obviously cant read then.

because first you saying eating protein alone really isnt eating which is just asinine.

its not

then your saying that lean gains is about eating 3 meals a day. which again is toally false.

it is 3 meals per day

lastly, its a system...you dont simplify it or formulate it on your own. if your going to say something is lean gains and say its about eating 3 meals a day your dead wrong.

and you proved my point about you needing direction  ;D

im done with this thread because you are completely wrong about this and you dont see it. why do you think galvatron said you are wrong and pretty much said the same thing that I did? you think we're both wrong?? and your right? come on dude. you cant be that stupid.

you will still be bloated eating carbs at night instead of during the day. i mean really, you think in 6 hours all those carbs will magically disappear while you are sleeping? besides people get bloated from the aas not the carbs
yes they will magicaly disappear and fill your muscles.

pretty much is

Fasted training

Training is initiated on an empty stomach and after ingestion of 10 g BCAA or similar amino acid mixture. This "pre-workout" meal is not counted towards the feeding phase. Technically, training is not completely fasted - that would be detrimental. The pre-workout protein intake, with its stimulatory effect on protein synthesis and metabolism, is a crucial compromise to optimize results. The 8-hour feeding phase starts with the post-workout meal.

Sample setup

11.30-12 AM or 5-15 minutes pre-workout: 10 g BCAA
 12-1 PM: Training
1 PM: Post-workout meal (largest meal of the day).
 4 PM: Second meal.
9 PM: Last meal before the fast.

Calories and carbs are tapered down throughout the day in the example above.

Early morning fasted training

Here's a sample setup for a client that trains early in the morning and prefers the feeding phase at noon or later. Read this for details regarding this protocol.

6 AM: 5-15 minutes pre-workout: 10 g BCAA.
 6-7 AM: Training.
 8 AM: 10 g BCAA.
 10 AM: 10 g BCAA
12-1 PM: The "real" post-workout meal (largest meal of the day). Start of the 8 hour feeding-window.
8-9 PM: Last meal before the fast.

For the sake of conveniency, I recommend getting BCAA in the form of powder and not tabs. Simply mix 30 g of BCAA powder in a shake and drink one third of it every other hour starting 5-15 minutes pre-workout. Tabs are cheaper, but much more of a hassle (you're going to have to pop a lot of tabs). Check my supplements guide for specific brand recommendations.

One pre-workout meal

This is the most common setup for my younger clients that are still in college or have flexible working hours.

Sample setup

12-1 PM or around lunch/noon: Pre-workout meal. Approximately 20-25% of daily total calorie intake.
3-4 PM: Training should happen a few hours after the pre-workout meal.
4-5 PM: Post-workout meal (largest meal).
8-9 PM: Last meal before the fast.

Two pre-workout meals

This is the usual protocol for people with normal working hours.

Sample setup

12-1 PM or around lunch/noon: Meal one. Approximately 20-25% of daily total calorie intake.
4-5 PM: Pre-workout meal. Roughly equal to the first meal.
8-9 PM: Post-workout meal (largest meal).

tbombz, dude you were wrong just admit it and move  on. You can twist and turn things all you want. I have read his site and i'm very well aware of his method (his variation of intermittent fasting). You don't need to copy and paste a wall of text.

There are several protocols but the main idea is that you fast 16 hours and have an 8 hour eating window. For women the recommended fasted period is a bit shorter, 14 hours...as they seem to be more sensitive (get headaches, more hunger issues). Other than that there always needs to be some individualization but the most common protocol is is 3 meals within the 8 hour window (but you could eat twice or 4 times...up to you). One of the ideas of the leangains approach is that it is supposed to make your life easier. You don't have to eat every 3 hours.

The majority of calories should be eaten after the workout (in his leangains approach), so if you eat 3 meals you put one medium sized meal (including both protein and carbs) before the workout and then after the workout you eat the biggest meal of the day and then a third later on. On non workout days, fats are supposed to be kept a bit lower than on workout days. (not that I personally think this really is a big issue but that is another discussion).

He also has protocols for people who train early during the day (during the 'fasted' period)...he recommends to those people to have BCAA (or EAA....maybe a small protein shake..but preferably BCAA to keep calories down at this stage) before they workout so that you have some amino acids in your blood as you workout. Then you either eat a regular meal after the workout or in some protocols you don't break the 'fast' yet and have some more BCAA. Of course if you have BCAA you aren't really fasting anymore but that is how he sets it up.

There is no 23 1/2 hour fast (as you said) and no rule that says you can't have carbs in a meal (other than the 'fasted' training with BCAA before and sometimes after the workout depending on the specific protocol). And the big meal of the day is not to eat whatever you want, yeah you can be flexible but the leangains approach is not a green light for eating a lot of shit and disregarding calories in vs calories out.

and seriously, what is up with this copy and paste stuff? I'm not refering only to you tbombz, but copying and pasting information does not constitute knowledge.

3 meals per day, majority of calories in one of those meals, mainly protein in the other two meals..  most people wouldnt consider consuming protein by itself 'eating'..  i know i dont.. certainly doesnt quell cravings for tasty food when hungry..     = exactly what said from the beginning.... im sorry your such a sheep that you cant comprehend different wordings of the same method... i suggest you try thinking on your own every once in a while

I think the idea of the OP is closer to the Warrior diet.

Only today i realized why he preached so much this ice cream
it fills you up
it satisfied your sweet tooth
the cals and macros ratio of this ice cream are relatively good

sadly i only realized it after i was carving so hard, i was so flat and my sweet tooth was hitting a peak, i had no ice cream and ended up eating bunch of sweet junk.
oh and worst thing is that im still hungry -_-

tbomz with just a tad of overanalysing!  :)

Just fucking eat good....keep an eye on the mirror,if you start to look like shit, cut back on carbs/cals,eat cleaner, train harder, pick up the pace of your cardio,or add cardio in if you aren`t already doing it !!

It ain`t all that hard to figure out.

I do IF but if I get hungry I have no problem breaking my fast because I've gotten so lean using that protocol. I eat anything I want, and I especially eat lots at night directly before bed. I wake up shredded and hard as a cock.

Works way better with meal prep too. I only need to cook maybe one meal a day at most. I can cook a huge, ballin' meal instead of cooking a monster amount of chicken and broccoli.
