reading, learning, playing , creating, talking with real humans face to face... also most people spent tons of time behind tv screen, now internet is replacing tv gradually. You choose the content, when watching tv you dont.

The real question is, were people overall happier when there was no internet, and only TV, or, what were people doing when there was no TV; were people overall happier when there were no tv and internet... Life was a lot tougher, lot less free time, people were only surviving, everything they were doing was directly useful to their survival or the survival of their loved ones. Life was about work. contributing. Now with so much free time and confort life in occident is about individualism, hedonism , and ultimately, boredom, vanity.

So ironic. As if the more a society advances, the less it makes sense.
