What do you think about this? mind to talk about it?
Yes, I can talk about that.
OK. When Vladimir Putin back in 1999 - 2000 raised in power, he invited the most important businessmen to the Kremlin.
He made a statement that they can keep doing business as usual. As long as they stay out of politics.
I personally think, of course anyone should have a right to get in politics. That's what democracy is.
But no one with their right mind can claim that Russia could have been saved by "western style democracy".
It's maybe not fair that few people have suffered from Putin's regimen.
But what is that in contrast of how the GDP more than doubled just in the years Putin was in Kremlin, how poverty degree was cut in half, how military and therefore security of the country has been built back to acceptable level etc.
And the speed seems to be growing. Putin's somewhat harsh methods put a whole country back on track. Lot of work to do of course remains but the start shot have been fired.
This is pretty good example of what I'm talking about.
Video of Putin's visit to small town of Pikalevo. In video he meets with some regional decision makers and businessmen.
Putin defends whole community, not just the rich entrepreneurs.
Watch the video, it's short and dubbed in english (kind of, lol), you will understand:
Another very good example. Putin visits a military base and meets some officer.
Officer says there were problems (despite the generous federal funding!).
Putin tears the paper straight through without saying a word (at 0:30 point):
