Corporate tax rates= Eliminated permanently

In exchange= Hiring must be commensurate with profits (  corporations can't horde money when there is high unemployment and the business is making money), X amount of jobs must be kept in the United States+ for every job created overseas= one must be created here ( or an equivalent cash expenditure in terms of salary/ benefits overall-- so for every dollar sent overseas, the same must be kept at home). == All of this would only apply to corporations with X number of employees. Overall, small businesses would pay no corporate tax rate and everything else would stay the same.

This would be a huge boost to small businesses while providing an incentive for big corporations to stay in America. Also, this might prevent multinationals from sending their money outside of the country.

Of course this is just part of a larger plan to fix things.

I know this is probably not a feasible idea-- but I ate too much stuffing and took a nap; when I woke up this randomly popped into my head.

cool idea.  it would have to be mandatory, however.

When Perry was on fox last week, he was explaining his OPTIONAL 20% flat plan.  When the fox crew wisely asked him why it wasn't required - hence stopping all the shady shit and loopholes that companies use now - he simply re-expained the 20% plan.  no critical thinking at all.  When asked again, he said it's something to think about, but refused to commit to that.

your idea is good.  I've always loved the idea plenty of corp tax breaks IF they keep the jobs here.  ALl those bush tax cuts seemed to give rich ppl and corporations plenty of cash to open a new plant on the other side of the world. :(

I think that the government has to take a long sided view on this topic-- if you create more jobs, you broaden the tax base, you can take more money in because more people are working. Therefore, if you eliminate the corporate tax rate, corporations have more money to hire people+ the end result is more tax money collected by the government.

Less jobs= less taxable income, more unemployment benefits, food stamps, etc.-- this drains government resources and provides nothing in return.

As you said, the hiring aspect and a dollar for dollar requirement to keep money and jobs here must be mandatory.

Implementation might be a problem-- but imagine eliminating an entire wing of the IRS and just having them do compliance instead. I'm sure this could get done. My only concern is the numbers themselves-- how much in reported profits= how many jobs, etc.

BUMP

Any of you faggs want to chime in on this being a possible part of the solution to fixing the American economy?

Even if you think my idea sucks, I don't want to see any threads from dicksucking Obamazombie sissy leftist genital warts bitching about how "Conservatives don't have any ideas, they just hate Obama because he has an afro" bullshit. Even if you hate the idea or think it wont work, offer an alternative or tear it apart. I dont care.

Gonna have a hell of a time defining things like "commesurate with profits".  Hell, probably be fights over what counted as the unemployment rate.

A really stupid idea. If it was carried through, then you'd witness mass bankruptcy of American business.

Like 240 said, I'd have no problem with it if they kept the jobs here where they belong and not outsource them to third-world pinko countries.

Sounds good to me

that's my main criticism of the 'keep the bush tax cuts!' argument.

they had those cuts from 2001 on... and they shipped all those jobs overseas.  Had the bush cuts come with a caveat about being ineligible if you moved those jobs overseas, we'd have an entire different economy today :)

You'd have a much more INEFFICIENT economy with higher prices for consumer goods. Real wages/incomes would be lower as a result.

OR

Americans would have found a way to innovate their production means in the last decade.
Americans would have spent less and china could have grown less.
The next 'killer ap' might have been developed out of necessity.
We wouldn't have funded the growth of economies in so many other nations, at the expense of ours.

Look at it this way - what is the US portion of the industrial revolution would have been outsourced to mexico or china?  lol... We never would have become a superpower by spurning growth THERE instead of HERE.  And we are borrowing to do it!  It's like taking out a loan to add a wing to your neighbor's house!  haha
