Tony Pearson banned from IFBB Masters show in Florida

November 28, 2011

TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND COLLEGUES:

Many of you were expecting to see me at the upcoming IFBB Pro World Master Championship on December 9 & 10, 2011 at the Fillmore Theatre in Miami Beach. Regrettably I will not be appearing. For some unexplainable reason I have been told that I am no longer wanted at the show.

I have trained extremely hard for the past 3 months to arrive and ...perform at this show in top form (please click this link
,) I am in truly world class shape and was ready to make this my last show prior to retiring from completion. I would have enjoyed greatly appearing with other legends during this event.

I wish all of my colleague’s great success and good fortune and hope to see many of you soon. All my best wishes for a happy healthy holiday season and New Year.

They decided his waist just wasn`t big enough for him to be competitive so they banned him.  :(

How do you ban a guy like Tony Pearson ???

This is a huge contest - total signed up with 10 days to go is ZERO.  Yes, ZERO.  How can that be.  We hear that Dexter Jackson, Toney Freeman and Troy Alves are going to compete, but no one has signed up? 

Now this show is billed as the LEGENDS contest, but where are the legends?  Are any of them competing?

Now Tony Pearson is considered one of the old-timers, a legend, but he is banned from competing?

Explain!

Thanks for clearing that up. I new he had no shot at this, but it would be nice to see him on stage.

I wouldn't go that far. Tony's limbs aren't in proportion to his upper body, particularly the back that made him famous.

Comparing him to Heath is ludicrous. Heath beats him, hands down, though the Jetman has a great physique in its own right.

Pearson won 7 IFBB Pro Mixed Pairs contests from 1982 to 1988, and placed second  in another contest in that time frame.

There was a four year period 83-86 where had won with a different woman: Gruwell, Dunlap, Plakinger, Bergmann.

Something smells fishy, but this is usually the case for 'Master's' shows ...esp in 240's state, they can't even count votes right.
Looks like Chick the powers that be are shooting down the potential 'threats' for plastic trophies.
