He is pointing out specific examples of how Newt has held liberal positions on cap/trade, obamacare, and a ton of other issues.

Why the hell are GOP primary voters preferring Newt 10 to 1 over Santorum?

Don't get me wrong, I think Santorum is an annoying twit, but he's a real conservative, you can't deny that.  Newt is, this week.

If those three wouldn't have been in the race, Huntsman and Santorum would have gotten a much better look.

The way it is right now, if Newt keeps his momentum for all of December, he could possibly snatch the nod away from Romney.  Because at this point, there really isn't any time to wait for him to fizzle out or fuck up and someone else surge forward again.

Rick Santorum was a nobody before this election. Had you asked Republicans who was Rick Santorum in 2010, 95% of them would have responded with "who the hell is Rick Santorum?" Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, and Rick Perry to an extent are political figures known on the national level... Even Herman Cain has had some national-level exposure due to his fight with Bill Clinton over nationalized health care. These are people with name recognition and that counts a lot in the Presidential election.

He's great on foreign policy and social issues and entitlement reform, but he seems to think as long as you keep manufacturing jobs from leaving the US everything will be great.
