Bluster by the Iranians, they probably didn't shoot down anything....same shit happened a few months ago and they retracted their own story. The RQ-170 isn't all that stealthy, esp. in IR aspects.

It's a normal drone, probably has a self-destruct mechanism in it and firmware/software wipe programs if the Iranians try to reverse engineer it or whatnot.

The Drones have an auto destruct function which wipes it clean.  In addition, sometimes they send another drone to blow that one up.
