In the end big companies with tons of funds reign , recruit the most talented designers and employees paid to browse the web for ideas, while amateurs forget about their "start up" / business project after 6 months of losing money.
the difference between people like yourself and me is that I will always try out new stuff, I've been building webpages for as long as I can remember started a hundred of prejects until I made Apacheclips which is still compared to the giants tiny, but if you would have any idea how difficult it is to run a video webpage (hosting all your videos yourself not embedding them) you know that I've heard a thousand times - NO way - you never make it - leave this stuff to Liveleak and so forth, 4 years on and we are still rocking.
