Hey, thinking about getting rid of my 2005 530i series and getting an 2003 M3 coupe stick....thought?
A LE that I know had two M3s, one 2005 and one 2004...he got rid of them...
He drives a 330i---misses the M3, but it was impractical...he has a family.
Within the first 3 yrs or so of the e46 M3, they were having engine problems, forgot, it's on the tip of my tongue, but people were blowing engines. BMW blamed it on the customers, come to find out, it was Bmw or their supplier's fault...same engines in the Z3 M Coupe and Z4 M coupe were not having those issues---the rev limit was lower in those cars...
Be careful...the better ones are 05s-06...but thet hold their value...a lot of young guys had the 200-2004s, and ran them into the ground or nodded them. If you go SMG, it's 7k if that tranny goes up, so stick is best option. KP85 had a E46 M3, pm to know more about ownership...
He has a E92 M3, so he likes his M3s...
I really liked driving the E46 M3 as I really like inline 6s, best looking M3 ever.
