Khan is not a champion. Last time he had a fight with a hard hitter he got knocked out, the same will happen again. His fights are picked carefully. Technically he is a good fighter and is quick but has no power and can not take a good dig. Put him in the ring with any half decent hard hitter and he is down.

He is yet another manufactured "champ"

I can't wait for the day he can't avoid (not a picked fight) a fight with big hitters and you will see what I am saying

I guess u missed his fight with Maidana?

calling out mayweather  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
he has sooo many people between him and myweather who would whoop his ass its not even funny
not on mayweathers level
i laughed when i saw the vid here he said maweather is ducking him .. and maywether is  coward
im like ... who the fuck is this guy....?
...im glad he go beat..... made my day

He's also talked about fighting Shane.  Shane may have lost badly to Mayweather and Pac, but he's still got it.  Shane is way too much for him. Khan needs to stay at 140 for a while longer as he needs to work on his ring craft.

No he doesn't.
He's not what he once was, no way....but he can still fight.
Would Saul Alvarez's ppl let him defend the 154 title against Shane?  I don't think so.
Would Freddie let Amir move up to 147 to fight Shane?  I don't think so.

Khan and Alvarez would beat Mosley easily ,he's  40yr /old has enough experience to make it  last 12rds,  but his speed ,condition and reflexes  long time gone , he even got a gift against  Sergio Mora , he's done .

He not a champ, there has not been many exceptional boxers in years. Kahn is nothing special, I can promise you. He is a technical boxer not a fighter. Fighters will kill him

i was hoping he's get knocked-the-fuck-out. oh, well.. a points victory will do nicely enough.

glad i stayed up now. our lass will be getting an extra hard fucking later on in celebration  8)

cracking fight though from both fighters.
He lost because of an unfair ref..2 points for pushing..? That was bullshit. His opponent came in head first.. Good performance by Amir, but losing on because of point deductions sucks.. I would not be proud of that victory.. He was clearly losing.

1)  DO NOT SPOIL THE FIGHT RESULTS IN THE THREAD TITLE!!!

2) Kahn IS an exceptional fighter.  He has the skill and heart of a champion.  He is everything Zab Judah could've been if Zab had the heart.

3) People vastly underestimated Peterson. This was a rare fight where two elite fighters in their prime fought and it was close.  Could've easily been a draw.

4) REMATCH REMATCH REMATCH

***BIG CONTROVERSY***

THE FIX WAS IN!

[ Invalid YouTube link ]

Khan on Thursday used his Twitter account to post a series of images of the man, seen wearing a dark hat, and to draw attention to his movements around the judges' table. Peterson won Khan's IBF and World Boxing Association titles after a disputed points decision.
Richard Schaefer, chief executive officer of Golden Boy Promotions, claims the man has now been identified as Mustafa Ameen, an IBF official who was given accreditation for the fight despite not being directly involved in it.

"His name is Mustafa Ameen and the IBF have confirmed to us his name, and they have confirmed to us that he's involved in an official capacity with the IBF," Schaefer told Sky Sports News.

"However, he was not in Washington in an official IBF capacity, but the IBF asked the Washington commission to issue him a credential so that he could attend the fight."

Schaefer also claimed that the WBA have offered Khan a rematch with the American, and urged the IBF to follow suit.

"We have been informed today by the WBA that they will order an immediate rematch," he said. "We received a verbal confirmation today and we will get a written confirmation by next Tuesday.

"That means that no fighter can take an interim fight, that the next fight for Peterson would be a rematch.

I'd rather watch a 30 second mma fight where a guy gets knocked the fuck out instead if this bullshit anymore. Boxing has become a joke.

I'm not an Amir fan either and I don't think he's a particularly good fighter but there's something shady as hell about that result and there were clearly some dodgy dealings going on behind the scenes.

Best thing to happen is that the fight gets declared a no contest, Khan keeps the belts for now and there's a rematch organised. Wherever it takes place is anyone's guess though although I've got a feeling that Khan would win comfortably if it were here in the UK.

never liked kahn in the beginning. After Bredis Prescott gave him a reality check, he somewhat got it in gear. I'm now becoming a fan of his simply b/c he will go to anybody's backyard and fight them champ or not risking getting jobbed (like he was in this last fight he had). Huge balls there imo.

How can you say he is he British?  If a dog happened to be born in a stable - does that mean it's therefore a horse???? :)
