Ronnie's physique basically got worse and worse each year.
He was no bodybuilding artisan or craftsman, just a guy who could pack on a lot of muscle.
Year by year, his cuts disappeared, his belly got bigger and bigger, his arms looked smaller and smaller and his posing became more and more ridiculous. He, like so many now, simply have no sense for bodybuilding, only sense for upping the doses.
As has been pointed out, looking at Haney makes you want to work out. Looking at Coleman is not much more than shock value.
If he had polished that 1998 and 1999 physique then I wouldn't be saying any of this.
Drugs didn't screw up bodybuilding, the loss of aesthetic sense did.
