You are in Texas so you are probably a little better off, however, in places like Cali, NJ, NY, the defined bene plans are collapsing the state budgets in trillions of dollars of unfunded obligations the taxpayers have to pay with no way to pay for it. 

Most of these scams are predicated on 8% compounded rates of return for the benes paid out.  The property taxes are skyrocketing all over the place while values go down just to keep this scam going and it is killing everything.
