maybe it costs you a wad, cost me very little. im glad to go and get my blood checked every 2 months.
but you go to dentists, right?
My mother died of Lung Cancer, after making the 72 Olympics in Munich as an alternate (meaning her swimming career was done) she started smoking and never stopped, with a pack a day and more sometimes. She also smoked the most deadly cigarettes there were/are, Tareytons. My father died of what they said was a Heart Attack, but it doesn`t seem to add up. There never was an autopsy. He was 6`4 and 180 lbs and always in good shape. One day he was mowing the lawn in 100 degree weather and died while doing so. I think it was a possible heat stroke and not being hydrated enough, sodium-electrolyte imbalanceMy grandmother lived to 96 and my other one lived to 91 and my grandfathers lived in their 80s and both smoked and drank heavily.
I look at it this way. If there is/was any predisposition for early disease I'd go once a year at your age. I go twice at my age even though we don't have a history of heart disease or cancer. My dad was a smoker and died at 54 of cardiac arrest (not heart disease) he was 5'7 135-140 and basically worked himself to death. Grandfather was a heavy smoker and died of emphasima (sp) at 68. One grandmother lived to 96 the other to 99.8 (buried a day before her 100th.
I`m too young for them to perform any tests on anyways. You have to be like mid 30s or something before you can even get those type of tests such as a CT Scan or what have you.Jezebelle once tried to make an appointment at a Doctor and they told her she was too young and they wouldn`t take her.
I see no reason to start yet either. Discuss.
You are joking, right?
i got ct scanned like 3 times in my life already
Nope. Plus CT Scans boost Cancer Rates and it may be wise to forego them.http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=aETXq6qDpjNYCT Scan Radiation May Cause Cancer Decades Later, Study Finds
Not good.Multiple CT Scans Raise Cancer Riskhttp://www.webmd.com/cancer/news/20090331/multiple-ct-scans-raise-cancer-risk
Also many Insurance Policies won`t pay for a CT Scan until age 35 anyways.
You have better chance of getting cancer through processed foods than you do through xrays and ct's.
If my dad were alive today, he would be in his 80s. He had me a lot later in life as you can see.
I went to the doctor when I had the flu once back in 2004... before then it was when I needed my last physical in high school.
