I really didn't give a shit about what Obama did up until this point.. but if the decision ends up being his and he doesn't stop this and the NDAA act, then he is the enemy of the american people that needs to be thrown out of the white house as swiftly as possible.

Spending by Reagan was needed.  It caused the USSR to try to keep up and they collapsed.

Depends on what side you look at it from.
From American point of view it had huge positive aspect; no one left around you should really compete with, no one stopping Americans from taking over the world etc.
From the other side, at least for now it has been more a catastrophe than an advantage - time will tell, whether it was good thing in long run or still just a catastrophe.

On the other hand, either side would have probably already been in Mars if the cold war had continued.
It was time of many great inventions on both sides. Competition is almost always good for development.

Honestly, the rights of individuals in the US have been shrinking for the last 50yrs at an alarming rate.  The politicians keep us in-fighting and finger pointing while they get even richer, make their partners/friends richer and screw us all.

Just so sad.   And if RP does actually win the Repub nomination, I wouldn't be shocked at all if he were to be assassinated.  Too many stand to lose too much if he were to get in the White House.....and it isn't limited to only dems and repubs.
