The reason I say certain statistics can be misleading is because some pros decide to retire as soon as they aren't in their best shape, or are forced to retire due to an injury before their physique starts to decline, whereas some continue to compete year after year regardless...now if you use their full career's statistics ignoring qualitiative considerations such as the examples I just described it can lead to misleading arguments.
