What's this say about republicans?
« on: December 22, 2011, 04:53:05 PM »
Ron Paul has not been able to get above his solid base in the polls month after month he's been on average around 9 or so percent.  Then when the media starts making a huge deal about the racist newsletters he gets his biggest bump of the campaign...  Kinda funny shit.  What's that say about republicans?

Most of what was said in the newsletters was truth.

So some republicans are seeing the newsletter as a good thing.  Seriously, his biggest bump in the polls happened when MSM starting making a big deal about the newsletters.  There's something in that fact lol...

I'm saying that often times speaking the truth gets you called a racist.  A lot of what rp said was true and people feel it's bullshit to call him racist over what we all know are mostly true.

So he is getting a bump from people in the republican party from those who feel the newsletters are truth and like what they say and they are willing to defend him and vote for him over it.

Is it the newsletters or the coverage? The newsletters are within the last 48 hours while he started getting quite a bit of press a week or two ago.

I doubt most Republicans are secretly racist.  ::)

Yes.   People really don't want mittens or newt.    Santorum and Bachmann don't have the cred.   Hunstman sadly has not taken off.   I like him.

so RP is alternative to the RINOs

The newsletters have been increasingly mentioned over the last few weeks, not just the last 48.

I'm kinda shocked the left has not brought up Paul's bump in conjunction with the newsletter coverage.  I just figured it was interesting enough for a thread.  Ron Paul is not a racist.  It is kinda odd though that he bumps in the polls as he is accused of being a racist.

hopefully whatever dipshit win the Republican nomination will make it a focal point of his campaign or if you're really lucky they'll bring up your idiot CT about Obama being a secret communist who wants to collapse that nation.  That would be a sure fire winner for you right?  Game over for Obama if that secret gets out

I don't thinnk RP's bump in the polls is correlated to the right wing medis dredging up this old story

RP has been steadily rising as other candidates have flamed out and this story is being dredged recently to discredit him because the right wing media strategy of just ignoring him clearly isn't working anymore

After his Kansas speech, it's not a secret any longer.

The facts disagree with you  He jumped to his highest point ever in the polls rapidly and during the same time the newsletters have been most talked about.  He hasn't been able to really break above 10 and then he rapidly shot past that.  I check the polls daily.

I think most know it's bullshit and certainly everyone who has spent even a small amount of time reading or listening to Paul.  It's impossible Paul is a racist.  But I wonder if there are 2 to 4 percent or so that saw this accusation and said, that's my candidate lol...

True, but that is not what I meant.  Ron Paul supporters will not stop supporting him because of these attacks.

What I meant is that in this case there might be plenty of people out there who did not like Ron Paul before these attacks, but now believing the media and believing that Ron Paul wrote these letters will love him now and will vote for him.
