Tim Belknap, Slin and Diabetes.

i know tim was a diabetic and had to take insulin,but was this when bodybuilders figured out how it could be used to make gains?

You can see that the slin causes bloated faces while being ripped. This is becoming more common today.

For a year or two dude was unmatched for hardness/fullness/vascularity. A very cool, but not too pleasing physique.

I've heard rumors that Tim was the type of guy who would use 500mgs of Anadrol a day for months at a time. And that his ankles would swell up and everything. Crazy dude.

His "story" in the mags was that he was so scrawny he used to get beat up by chicks

and also that he trained legs so hard he had to be carried out of the gym

even as a 15 year old I assumed both were bullshit

i went to a seminar of his in 1984, he was very cocky, but also young, he won the overall at the nationals at age 21,which would make you cocky. he was a freak in his time.didnt do well as a pro though.
