I remember when the RP gold coins came out and the guy who made those is sitting in prison right now I think, at the very least he was sentenced to some time. I'll have to look up the story again.

Speaking of coins, I have to say I think these are some of the most ridiculous coins Ive seen put out. Im sorry but these are total cheese.

The Justice Coin.

On one side it proclaims: “You can run but you cannot hide” etched above a golden image of Seal Team 6 – On the other side it reads: “Justice has been done” next to three iconic engravings of the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and Flight 93.

***WEBSITE LINK DELETED***

And how the heck is this NOT considered SPAM?!! LOL!

Holy Cow!!! If I did that, ...posted a link to a website where someone could make a puchase, All hell would break loose.
As it is, I had to delete your link in the quote 333. Sorry. Knowing Snowflakes personal bias' when modding the board and his arbitrary application of board rules, it wouldn't surprise me if he flipped out on me for even quoting someone else's link. I remember being accused of spam when I posted links to a competitors websites

Is there something we don't know? 333386, are you sleeping with Ron, OzmO, BeachBum or Hugo?

Geez Louise!

BTW 333386, As a lawyer if you really are one with all the time you have on your hands to post here, do you really think it's in people's best interest to direct them towards the purchase and/or use of something that could get their butts tossed in jail?

I am not peddling anything to people and dont have any financial interest in the company whatsoever.

I simply found the coin nline, thought it was cool and posted the link.

There are other sites that sell ron paul coins as well, like Howard posted.

The people who make money from precious metals make it from "leveraged commodity futures trading"...not physical possesion of the commodity...

It is very hard to make money from this and you must have a huge amount of money to begin with.

I just keep it for possession, same as guns, ammo, water, long term food supply, etc.

That's not true... Jewelry stores who are buying gold are making a MINT from buying it and re-selling it.

Thats like saying used car lots make a mint buying and selling used cars.

ah yes, real money.  So when the dollar finally dies off and those of us lucky to have sat on REAL MONEY can finally go out and make big purchases with it in a lawless society.

Akin to having gold coins in Somalia.  Definately worthwhile  ::)

What do you do when Wall street crashes and the paper metals come undone leaving physical  to rise to a reflection of it's true value?
If you're sitting on a 1oz coin, do you plan on shaving a bit off to pay for food, fuel, or any other necessities?
Or do you think perhaps smaller, more transaction friendly weights would be more prudent?
When GOLD revalues to 10X's what it is currently... good luck. Having it in larger sized weights forces you to liquidate your entire position just to get emergency funds.

That is what ammo and other things are for.
