A friend needs help
« on: December 27, 2011, 07:27:19 AM »
My friends hubby needs help.

He's hell bent on taking creatine. He's 5 ft10 at 195.

He wants to lean a tad out but put on side and can't take any gear. He was reading about no explode but was worried about peeing side effects. I told him to clean his diet up a bit but does anyone have recommendations?

What are his "peeing side-effects?"
Does he have a kidney condition, prostate problem, or some other urinary issue?

Anyway, concerning your question about supplements...
According to user feedback, N.O.-Xplode isn’t what it was when it came out years ago.
For what it’s worth, I tried it then and still wasn’t impressed with it.

Creatine, however, has withstood the test of time - still included in many quality workout supplements.
It is certainly worth glancing over the sticky’s PL has made - particularly as it relates to types, timing, etc.

Replenishing ATP stores, hydrating muscles, and facilitating protein synthesis are all effective mechanisms for improving exercise performance and long-term muscle growth.
The “cell-volumizing”/intra-cellular bloat is often a pleasant short term visible effect for those who like instant gratification, which may provide a bit of reward and motivation.
A lot of people who turn to supplements need that.

I never noticed any improvements from creatine.

I've never tried steroids.

I have used creatine and from what I can tell it causes me to slightly retain water and gives a small bump in strength.  I never experienced any side effects of any kind.  Unless your friends husbands goal is to get a little edge with strength... then it may not do much else.

Advise him just to buy creatine monohydrate, and pass on the sugary/fad mixtures. I've used it on and off for years and has been the only natural supplement that has made a difference.
