I said he never came across that way.

I do know people who are clean and some have lifts that were close to his lifts or exceeded them.

I also know what I lift and I am clean so I know that if I took it as seriously as him and was a few years older me lifting those weights would not be impossible.

Look at him in videos his physique is not that impressive.

It only really when he is dieted down he looks the part.

His squat and deadlift is more impressive than his physique.

He has knee wraps on. You can take away up to 100lbs from that lift.

Is a 500lb squat that impressive from a man who has trained for probably 12 years?

Are there any other photos that show Layne looking that good/developed. It is the only one I see being brought up time and time again. Could just have been one freak shot that looks fantastic.

Then you haven't heard him talk yet or read his forum posts. He's the epitome of the word "prick".

Oh yes, the gym stomping and Linkin Park face... it's pretty brutal. I'm a strong fella too but I think it's a lot less impressive when you scream and make a shitload of noises. Nothing is more admirable than a dude who goes into the gym, lifts like a house but doesn't make a peep and leaves. Layne's psychotic shit is some of the most epic display of douchiness I've ever seen in my life. I couldn't believe my eyes the first time I watched one of his lifting videos.

If he admitted to juicing and stopped stomping around, he'd be much more likeable.
