Ron Paul's campaign is looking ahead to South Carolina, announcing it is going up with a "six-figure dollar range" ad buy in the crucial Southern gateway.
 
The Paul ad strategy has played a major role in helping him to expand his voting base, and with his work close to done in Iowa, he's starting to line up his ducks elsewhere.

his supporters in place and he may be the default or backup choice for many bachmann, perry, or santorum (or even newt) voters who will make their initial stand at the caucus, then roll with the biggest anti-romney crowd in the room.

And the media is BEGGING for him to make a gaffe they can make the #1 story on monday.  He''s smart to give them the finger and lay back in the cut.

The fact of the matter is that foreign policy is the one thing that differentiates him from the other candidates. The other candidates (especially Bachmann) have practically usurped his entire economic policy. He just needs to make a clear case for his differences.

He walked out of an interview after he answered a question repeatedly and the interviewer refused to stop peppering him with the same inane bullshit. Compare that to your preferred candidate, who threw a temper tantrum over being seated in the back of a plane and shutdown the government as a result.

agreed that it's part of the vetting process, and agreed, he should answer the same Q 30 times.


However, I think its an added irritatnt to him that he was ignored by this media for so many years - not they ONLY want to talk to him to bring down his poll numbers.  I'd be tempted to ignore them too.  Every time CNN gave us "Bachmann wins iowa ames straw poll, Tpaw grabs 3rd", ignoring him at 2nd.

F' em.  They ignored him then, he can ignore them now.  The frontrunner wants to do as little media as possible - see Mitt the last 6 months (until newt overtook him).

I don't have a preferred candidate.  Just talking the facts.  And personal baggage aside, Newt is the most qualified man in the race.  I've already said I think he forfeited his right to be president based on his hypocrisy during the Clinton impeachment, but that doesn't mean he isn't qualified to be president.    

He wasn't peppered with the same questions.  I've already posted the questions in whatever thread that was.  They weren't the same.  And it was/is a legitimate issue.  He was poorly prepared to address those newsletters.  That's his own fault.

Regarding Newt, his qualifications are being a Big Government RINO who has accepted lobby money from GSEs and then lied about it... that is AFTER his unethical financial behavior in the House, after being the only House Speaker to be censured, etc.

I watched it.  If he would have done a better job preparing his answers, which he about more than 10 years to do, it would have gone much better.  

Regarding Newt, that's why I said "personal baggage aside."  He has a lot of problems.  No question about that.

It matters - but not as much as it could.  SC, like you Floridian douchebags lost half their delegates.  I think they've only got like 25 now as opposed to 50 or so.
