I completely agree about the toupee thing. Of course, I began balding in my late teens. By mid mid-twenties I was more bald than not. So for me, I have had a lifetime to get used to being bald. Not only that, it is in style now....finally! Ha, ha. Personally, I see nothing wrong with trying to stay fit, no matter your age. However, there is a huge difference between looking fit and trying to look like your still a kid. For the most part, it seems like women are sucked into the scams that are supposed to make you look young, things like botox and such. In my town, there are so many old ladies dressed in skin tight workout clothes, wearing tons of makeup on surgically lifted faces and sporting hair extentions, etc. hanging out at the local Starbucks that it is a running joke around our house. Most men seem more comfortable with their age, but there are a few who obviously aren't.
my biological father got bald in his early twenties... my younger brother is loosing his hair...
and me....i have all my hair! i just choose to buzz it....
and my brother warning me when i started steroids... lololol! bro you will go bald... lol..and now he is the one loosing his hair! life = not fair...  ;D ;D ;D

yeah man people should just try to look as good as they can, but the age that they are....
nothing wrong with being a 60 year old stud! lol!
look at Sean Connery..... i always bring him up in these type of discussions... no botox, no face jobs nothing.....
and i think all these hollywood stars actually look worse with all the plastic! they look weird!
look at what Micky Rourke did to himself... he was a good looking dude!

Micky Rourke looks like a freak to me. Supposedly, a lot of what has happened to his looks is a result all those years he spent fighting. I am not sure I buy this. I think he found a willing plastic surgeon (maybe Michael Jackson's) who turned him into the mess he is today.

Sean Connery has great genetics when it comes to his appearance.

How well or badly we age has something to do with our genetics. It also has a lot to do with our health. My wife has been ill for many years. She looks about 15 or 20 years older than I do. But then, I think men often age more gracefully than women do. From what I understand, this has something to do with them losing that layer of fat which softens their appearance when they go through menopause. Unless they're obese, men don't this fat layer to lose....particularly not in their face. So older men's skin tends to be less wrinkled then women.

For some reason, reading this thread reminds me of when I went to the theaters with my dad and watched "Last Action Hero" when it came out in 1993!

I was 11 :-)

Married or not, you can still appreciate the attention. Your wife should also like that women look at you too. Looking doesn't hurt and she got the prize.

exactly!
i never get these guys that freak out if some dude looks at their woman.
when there is no dude looking at my woman i would be concerned! because that means you probably have an ugly ass woman by your side! lol!!
when i see dudes looking at my girl i usually grab her by her ass, and feel proud!  ;D ;D ;D
mine to touch!

and about the aging thing ... i think it's probably 80% genetics...
i have an uncle that is 50... yet looks like he is in his 30's... my mom also looks young...
people always think i am 26/27 yet i will turn 32...
and micky..... i call bullshit on the boxing excuse... you get hurt yes.... but look at Wanderlei Silva.. he has had the reconstructive surgery micky supposedly also had done... well just compare the looks...
lol.... mickey turned into a freak....
