No, Kodak has been on the downslope since the mid 90's due to the fact that the industry is moving toward in producing digital film and cameras.

Like Circuit City and Montgomery Ward , it will go bankrupt, the name will be bought out and the company will emerge under the current times.

Yeah if I remember it right kodak was very late in entering the digital market due to ignorance up top. What the CEO is doing on the jobs council makes no sense.

Kodak has been failing to inovate in any area of the business since, as StrawMan said, the 1990's and they will pay for their poor practices with a Chapt 11 filing.

Their motion picture stuff is excellent, as I've read, but their digital camera products etc are not so great, so here they are.

But it is humorous that Obama has Imelt and this Kodak Klown on his "jobs" council. It seems to me, and probably most of us here, that CEO's really don't know all that much about creating anything, let alone jobs.

Jack Welch is held up as some hero but he was an outsourcing/off-shoring/H-1B visa trail blazer.
