The trend in cholesterol-research is moving more towards, once again, genetics deciding the whole ordeal. Some people are born to be fucked later on, some are lucky. (despite what they do or don't do, eat or don't eat) There's been research stating the contrary as well obviously so perhaps it's better to err on the safe side a bit. The middle road is usually the safest one.
Being overweight/eating too much is an instigator for who knows how many diseases. I've made the remark in the past that it's probably less unhealthy to up your doses a bit, rather than massively overeat in an attempt to gain mass. Of course there will never be a study done to prove me right on this
