Does the 911 operator actually have the right to tell the person on the other end of the phone to "not fire a firearm"? For fucks sake what if the people intruding in the home came in guns blazing and this 911 op/made the person second guess using the gun and ended up getting killed because of it?

If one more of these types of events hits the news over the next month or so, then I'm gonna call bullshit and say that the shooters are in on some sort of conspiracy and/or working for FBI/CIA types to get a reaction out of the masses. And the end game is to get all guns out of the hands of the citizens.

Major props to this kids father for teaching him how to use a gun and be a man. Its not easy to pull the trigger on a human and he did at 14.

Yes breaking in a house in rural America Is asking to die. Most all of my family have firearms within reach and my gf has a 30-30 rifle right under her bed. One less criminal to worry about..

youd be surprised how little stoned/desperate/crazy people think about the consequences.

one time in the trailer park, some dude was trying to pull open our door and pounding on the window slats. we were racking guns telling him to GTFO and it was like he didn't even think it. He had 2 glocks and a sig on the other side of that door, and he was trying like hell to run into them.

NC has one of the very best Castle Doctrine Laws. They don`t even have to enter your house before you can blow their head off. If you just THINK they are going to commit ANY felony on your property you can blow their head off. They do not even have to be breaking in your house or entering.

The same applies to your motor vehicle or your outbuildings. You are free to shoot and ask questions later.

(a) A lawful occupant within a home or other place of residence is justified in using any degree of force that the occupant reasonably believes is necessary, including deadly force, against an intruder to prevent a forcible entry into the home or residence or to terminate the intruder's unlawful entry (i) if the occupant reasonably apprehends that the intruder may kill or inflict serious bodily harm to the occupant or others in the home or residence, or (ii) if the occupant reasonably believes that the intruder intends to commit a felony in the home or residence.
(b) A lawful occupant within a home or other place of residence does not have a duty to retreat from an intruder in the circumstances described in this section.
(c) This section is not intended to repeal, expand, or limit any other defense that may exist under the common law. (1993 (Reg. Sess., 1994), c. 673, s. 1.)

Couple three years ago there was a dude near Raleigh that had like three break ins on his property. He came home one day and caught three dudes in the act of breaking into his barn or shed or some shit. The motherfuckers were RUNNING AWAY and he shot them in the back, killed one for sure. No charges were pressed! I fucking love this state.

three young boys, in his garage, they were Black he was White, the one he shot in the back died, it went to court, he got off..

The Law just got even better in NC.

As of January 1st this year:

And a change to the state's Castle Doctrine, which allows a person to use deadly force against someone for breaking into their home. The new law applies to vehicles and places of work.

With the New NC Castle Doctrine Laws it would have never went to court. Now, you do not have to retreat as there is no "Duty to Retreat" or anything. If anyone is on your property or in your car, you can shoot freely if you feel threatened.
