There's nothing too wrong about his bile explanation. Bile will slow down bowel transaction time as it forms micelles with the diacylglycerols and free fatty acids. Bowel transaction time is further slowed by the slower absorption of the fats into the lymphatic system. He said the gall bladder (storage site for bile) and liver secrete bile into the SI, nothing wrong with this either.
