I call bullshit, everyone knows you're on the No Fly list.
No.... but a few years back... EVERYTIME I travelled security procedures were GREATLY enhanced for me...
Some examples:
2004: At a check in counter in Providence airport, FBI agents were called to question me because my name matched up with a wanted terrorist... 2 guys came, black suit, black tie, black sunglasses - just like in the movies, spent less than 5 minutes with me and apologized and let me on my flight
2006: At a check in counter in London on my honeymoon, a call to security was made because my name matched up with a wanted terrorist again
Every time I flew in or out of the US from 2003-2009, I was always taken for secondary screening
2010: This was by far the weirdest encounter. I was in London Heathrow airport about to board a plane to Washington. Right at the gate they told me I was randomly selected for extra security and I'm always very humble, nice, and cooperative when this happens, its the easiest way to get through it, so they took me to the side and searched my carry on... but here is where it got weird... after they were done, instead of telling me you can get on the plane, they go "please step to the side, this other gentleman would like to ask you some more questions"...
so I walk over to a guy, and I notice he has a blackberry in his hand, and on that blackberry, is an old picture of me?

and the man realized I saw it and he hid the screen from me very quickly, I get over to him and it turns out he's an AMERICAN CIA agent (IN LONDON??), he asks me some more questions, and then apologizes to me, and lets me on the flight!
Its a tough time to be an Arab these days
