The Dutch always go for the Democratic candidate, 'cause they are still quite rightwing for our standards.. ;D


Obama is popular over here. Clinton was very popular, so was Carter. Bush jr and Reagan were the most impopular in their time...

Apart from G.W. Bush (who in my opinion was actuall not very intelligent) I don't think US presidential candidates are dumb...
They have to speak however the language of the common people - those 80% Citizens that believe anything they hear as long it fits in their worldview or agenda.

Don't forget 80% humans on this planet are simply not too smart.

As a presidential candidate you have find a way to speak to them all.
