Actually that guy (Jeff Madden) was the strength coach prior to this guy. He has been around since at least the late 90's and I can't recall what his PR was on bench but I remember it was pretty fucking outrageous.

he may not be the leanest guy but dude looks easily capable of a 500 pound bench.

This link to his profile provides some pretty in depth info on him and it claims a personal best of 602. I don't think that's out of the realm of possibility with that build.

I just remember that big sumbitch on the sideline back to when Major Applewhite was the quarterback. He's pretty easy to spot in a crowd.

Madden is a member of the board of directors of Peak Performance USA, is on the editorial advisory board of Sports Speed magazine and is a certified expert by the National Association of Speed and Explosion. He also has a 602-pound bench press to his credit, making him one of the top bench pressers in the world.
