So 12 weeks on 12 weeks off and i shouldnt lose any gains? Because i did lose most if not all last time i did that..
I never said that and if that's what it sounded like it wasn't supposed to.
If you were to follow a 12wk on 12wk off schedule that would mean you're not on half the year....I said it would work if you were on more than you were off even if you took off 2-3 months a year.
A pretty regular schedule for a lot of competitors is around 40wks on, the remainder off. That doesn't mean you're full blown cycling the entire 40wks, thereare probably periods of low test doses when you're just cruising but the majority is full blast.
At that point, most guys are glad to come off for a bit. It's very common to see guys take a break if they're done competing for the year. At that point, most are worn out and just need a break, they need some normal for lack of a better word. I can think of two pros off the top of my head who both after the Olympia, after they were done making post Olympia appearances didn't even train for a couple months. And yes, both took a break hormone wise, short ones but you can tell when people do.
