White House will Not support online piracy bills

breaking... The White House released a statement making clear that the Obama Administration will not support legislation that disrupts the open standards of the Internet.
 
"While we believe that online piracy by foreign websites is a serious problem that requires a serious legislative response, we will not support legislation that reduces freedom of expression, increases cybersecurity risk, or undermines the dynamic, innovative global Internet," the statement read in part.

yea right... Why should we trust anything Obama says at this point?  We've been down the, "I don't support" but I'll sign it anyway road...

While they Obama is drafting a measure to instate Government Internet ID's for all citizens.  ::)
