nobody can ever be sure a girl is 100% wifey material

Yes you can. Marry her and if she doesnt leave you and take half your shit, then you'll know for sure.

Nobody knows what lies ahead in a relationship.  Just listen to your instinct and stay together for a long time before/if you decide to get married.  Make sure that you are well past the honeymoon stage in a relationship before marrying.  Go through some shit together, have fights/arguments etc before you even get engaged.

how many time did it take before she got closer ?

Long story but to make it short, I met her twice in person before she went back to Guam on layovers when she was competing in Spain. After that we were on the phone all the time, everyday. She came out here about 6 months later. When she came here, we lived separately almost until we got married three years later. It's been about 7 years now.

My wife and I, our entire relationship before we got married (we dated for about 7 years officially) was long distance, she was in Florida and I was in DC, saw each other every few months, talked on the phone everyday, at one point we were even in different countries... it's tough, but if you both want it to work, it can work....

My wife and I have been happily married for almost 6 years now

I got a brother that's in a long distance relationship, however it's only a 4 hour drive for them, sometimes 3 depending on traffic, they see each other almost every weekend, taking turns as to who drives to each others' location. They make it work, guess they really love each other.

But in your case, 12 hours is tough man.  Plus, only seeing her for a few days a year is not good, especially if you're on the sauce, that sky high libido and no one to bestow that upon, that shit is hard.  Maybe if you're natural all year you might be able to control the sexual urges and be faithful.

All around just not the best situation for you, and phone sex is not enough, wtf is this, Middle school?

I consider a long distance relationship as driving out to the suburbs.

Move on...the separation will make her seem cuter, smarter, funnier than she really is. Once you're together 24/7 you'll realize you have nothing in common with her.

Or just keep boning her until a better opportunity presents itself.

My wife and I first met 20 years ago this year and for most of that time, she was living in Germany and I was in Australia. She came out 2 years after we met for 18 months, I went to Germany for 6 months the year after that, she was in Oz for another 2 years at the end of the 90's and then another three from 01-04 and now I've been in Germany since 08. We got married in 07. In between, we'd meet somewhere in the middle for Christmas.

If you find the right person, can be both be adult about it, and want to put the work in, you can make a long distance relationship work. It's not easy, but it's doable. Of course, I met people I was attracted to in that time - very much so sometimes - but I was always faithful and she was too. You just find a way to make it work because you want it to. I knew the moment I met her that this was the woman I wanted to be with.

Having said that, I think if we were in different states instead of different countries it may have been more difficult. You just can't keep flying across the world every weekend to catch up, so you accept it and look forward to the times you are going to see each other. If it was a possibility, I think there'd be a lot more pressure to travel as often as possible. That'd be tough.

It works for some time. Long distance or long term, I've never seen both.

I mean, he can always get a Bang Maid or just stay single and keep sleeping with different women. It all depends on what you want out of life, i guess. If he believes in love, GO FOR IT, but if not, stay single and have fun! And you only have to spend your $$$$ on the shit you want and not what "she" wants, which is everything.
