I can't picture any alternate universe were a semi literate cave dwelling, sex slave keeping, 5 bouncer bashing and pure Alpha male Overeem would bother with Getbig.

He's the perfect example of that u dont have to be muscular and/or strong to be a great fighter.

Speed and technique.

Disagree.  Fedor is very, very strong.  His core strength is off the charts, imo.

As I was a big fan of old Pride Fc, I regret UFC. I miss the pride fc time. I think UFC is to much American such business adversing and show.

When I go to UFC website, it's a joke as the bodybuilding industry of supplement.

There is no more technic its just pure brutality and you have tons of fighter that have no skill just boxing hardcore...

Of course in Pride FC you had also bad fighter but much less.

For me MMA isn't UFC.

Got real lucky and fought bums

Yeah, Big Nog(UFC HW champ), CroCop(K-1 finalist), Mark Coleman(UFC HW champ), Semmy Shilt(K-1 champ), Heath Herring, Randelman(UFC HW champ), Garry Goodrich, Renato Sobral(Brazilian BJJ champion), Ricardo Arona, Andrei Arlovki(UFC HW champ), Mark Hunt.

All these guys were bums...and you are a moron.

He was overrated and "ruled" the heavyweights during the division's lowest point. He is no longer a top 10 heavyweight and he is still in his prime. He has not had any injuries of any significance. He is just not good enough.

Right. So a 35 year old man who has been fighting professionally for 15 year is still in his prime? Do you have any idea how stupid you sound? 35 is pretty old for a professional athlete, and he has been fighting for 15 years.

As for the heavyweights not being great, trust me, Big Nog and Cro Cop in their primes would decimate the current UFC heavyweight division. Just look at Mark Hunt, a guy who Fedor beat, who eaily beat Ben Rothwell at UFC 140.

exactly, just like most pro bodybuilders are total pussies who would run for cover at the first sign of an altercation

I am the exception to that rule although i am a big bodybuilder, I use to wrestle in high school so I will pick you up and slam you on the floor if you piss me off.

Fedor was the baddest mouther fucker of all time. He isn't even close to his prime anymore. You can see it in his eyes the guy doesn't even care about fighting anymore. All the religious stuff made him soft the money and the fame finally caught up to him.

This .... Fedor was the baddest and now on his way down people are bashing him, and people that say he defeated cans, 4 UFC  heavy weight champs spread out from over a ten year period and many number 1 contenders and many others, yet they all failed against him, he wasn't going to stay on top for ever obviously.

The tenacity of Fedor the way he put everything he had into every fucken swing is like watching art. The guy was a just the master of destruction. No one will match that for a long time.

You're wrong. Fedor is strong. He doesn't need to be excessively strong--at a certain point there are diminishing returns. But you have to have a minimum amount of strength to utilize technique effectively. A 185 pound Fedor would be much less effective than his 233 pound self.

Most men are around 155 165 pounds. Fedor is much heavier and stronger than most men.
Speed, accuracy, technique, strength (especially core strength) are all components of his success.

The proof that he was past his prime is him losing in Sambo for the first time after being undefeated then shortly after losing in mma, common sense. Fedor was a legend 8)

that compilation was awesome... the only fedor fight i saw reasonably close to "live" was the one against silva. i really wish he would have beat silva, werdum, and henderson.

of course he has to lose sooner or later, but all of those losses were so lame.  especially silva!

never seen another mma fighter punch so brutally.

Fedor could toss a 100lb heavy bag way further than anyone here. Thats what type of strong he is.

The fights with Nogueira were legendary.  Even though Antonio took the worst of it, he never quit or got put down.  Two warriors for sure.

Fuck I miss PRIDE...
