68% of Republicans pick Fox as their most trusted source, with no one else even hitting double digits. Democrats split closely three ways with PBS at 21%, ABC News at 19%, and CNN at 17%. Despite having a reputation for appealing to the left MSNBC actually polls in only 6th place among Democrats at 8%, finishing slightly behind even Fox News' 9%. Independents split almost evenly between Fox News (29%) and PBS (27%).

Democrats and independents both overwhelmingly say Fox is their least trusted news source. Republicans go for MSNBC by a 28-23 margin over CNN, followed by Comedy Central at 18% and ABC News at 10%.

-For the second year in a row PBS easily comes out ahead as the outlet the most people trust, even if it isn't necessarily the one they trust the most.

-Democrats trust everything- except Fox News. NBC does the best with them at +50 (67/17), followed by PBS and CNN at +49 (66/17 and 65/16 respectively), ABC at +38 (57/19), CBS at +35 (58/23), MSNBC at +33 (56/23), and even Comedy Central at +4 (36/32). Fox News comes in at -36 (25/61).

-Republicans meanwhile don't trust anything except Fox News. PBS comes the closest to breaking even among non-Fox outlets, although not very close, at -30 (26/56). It's followed by CNN at -49 (18/67), MSNBC at -51 (18/69), NBC at -52 (17/69), CBS at -54 (17/71), ABC at -56 (14/70), and Comedy Central at -59 (12/71). But Fox News comes in at a stellar 73/17.

Independents are with the Democrats. They trust everything except Fox News. Main takeaway from this poll: tv news has become just as polarizing as the political parties in this country.

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2012/01/3rd-annual-tv-news-trust-poll.html

Every media source other than Fox had a negative rating with republicans, while every source other than Fox had a positive rating (though just barely so in some cases) with Democrats.

FOX does a good job teaching their viewers to not trust other networks.

And this is relevant because.....(other than your screwy obsession with Fox News). Of course, this poll conveniently doesn't explain why Fox keeps clobbering the other cable news networks. And why is Comedy Central (a NON-NEWS NETWORK) in this poll again?

If Republicans only trust Fox News and Democrats trust everything but Fox News, doesn't that prove what many have been saying all along - that the MSM is biased toward the left, with the exception of Fox News?

You mean the number ONE and TWO talk-radio shows in the country?

Coming from someone who get his news from the red-headed stepchild of cable news (MSNBC), your silly quips are but comic fodder, as is your inability to spell (It's "Hannity", genius).

No amount of Public Policy Polls will keep MSNBC and CNN from getting beaten senseless by Fox in the ratings.

just because more people eat at McDonalds and Burger King doesn't mean that In and Out burgers are 3 rate.

But those are talk show...not editor reviewed news reports.

Calling people "morons", when you can't spell much better than a dyslexic 3rd grader, makes look even more ridiculous than you already are.

As usual, when your boneheaded quips get shredded to pieces, you dredge up stuff that has ZILCH to do with the subject at hand.

As John Madden says, 12 teams have great seasons; 11 of them will have their seasons end with a LOSS. That's the name of the game. Tebow had a great season, won a division title, and won his FIRST PLAYOFF GAME (not bad for a second-year guy, who finally got to play a full 16 games in the NFL). Tebow's at home; BIG DEAL!! So are Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees, and Aaron Rodgers.

However, Tim Tebow's losing in the divisonal round of the playoffs has nothing to do with Fox News KILLING MSNBC and CNN in the cable news ratings, for over a decade.

You talk as if editors don't have left-winged slants. Kindly explain CNN and MSNBC, or why they have been getting POUNDED by Fox for over a decade.

McDonald's is the most profitable because of its low prices - how can you compare that to Fox?

Dead wrong again! I get my news from MULTIPLE SOURCES, as has been documented time and time again. But, you (perpetually stuck on stupid) can't seem to digest that. Hannity and Limbaugh are among my favorites. I make no apology for that. So are CNN, RealClearPolitics, and other media.

Maybe when you get a clue (after MSNBC tells you what to think), business on your end will pick up. Limbaugh and Hannity have the best radio talk shows in the country. Name a left-winged talk show that can hang with either one. But, please hurry. Christmas is in 11 months.

Air America was supposed to be filled with progressive geniuses to take down Limbaugh. Where is that network NOW?

He can't. He simply makes boneheaded statements about Fox, because the other left-slanted cable networks keep getting the brakes beaten off them. Blacken implies that CNN and MSNBC are somehow better quality than Fox, even though they trail Fox in the ratings. Of course, he CANNOT back that assertion one bit (and he knows it).
