lol if you disagree i wonder what you consider morality to be based on ? im guessing, just a guess, you think its subjective 
my train of thought as to determining that morality is based on logic, based on how you treat and feel about others..
here's what i think:
logic is subjective. when people talk about objective facts, or truth, they're really talking about strong beliefs... beliefs which win out over the weak "subjective" beliefs of people who are "wrong"
ok let me try to reconstruct this for you..
theres a couple different chains of thought going on here...
1
A) you could have been, I could have been, anyother person on the face of the earth. any other animal, any other living thing. it was only by chance that you are who you are, with 7 billion people and trillions living organisms, truly its a magnificent fact that you turned out to be who you are.
B) knowing that you could have been anyother living thing, you should treat all other living things with the same love and respect that you would want someone else to treat you with. "do unto others as you would have done unto yourself"
i've had this thought (A) too. when i was a kid i thought "jeez, why am i a christian? i could have just as easily been born into a muslim family, or two thousand years ago, or ten thousand years in the future, into a society where no one is a christian..." on the other hand, i wasn't. and from this same disembodied perspective, if someone hates me and wants to harm me, i can understand that. and i hope they can understand when i hate and choose to harm them, too. if not, oh well!

A) when feeling negative, when in pain, i can attempt to make myself feel better on my own but its always easier when someone else helps me to
B) everyone gets down sometimes
C) as a community and as individuals we need to work to stay positive and to minimize eachothers pain because the more we work towards that goal the better EVERYONES life will be
why do we need to minimize each other's pain? why should i care about the general good? after all, it's clear that not everyone will operate with my interest in mind, so why should i bend over backwards to meet their needs?
"love thy neighbor" ... as long as he behaves. if it gives him pleasure to do something "against the greater good," which is the same as "immoral" in this case, then we must hurt him until he obeys? And if he does, the common good is satisfied? A society 3 parts happy, 2 parts grumbling dissenters?
there is no common good. a situation that is good for one is not good for another.

i believe in god, i believe god is omnipotent and perfect, and i fully trust in gods judgement, and i think god loves everyone and wants everyone to love eachother, therefore i want to do what i think is gods will..
theres more, i cant recall everything ive meditated on at the moment.. ill try to add more as they come back to me..
