What's the point of being millionaire or make money if you cannot enjoy them to the fullest extent. WTF?

to me being a multi-millionaire is enough to live comfortably on, but not to blow money so lavishly like buying yachts, buying front row seat to the nba finals, buying 300$ dinner for twos, etc etc

but im talking about being like a 3-millionaire though. big diff between that and 500-millionaire

I know a multi millionaire, he drives a 1995 Ford Explorer.  He got in a wreck, and drove it wrecked for a week until insurance sent him his check to fix it.  This person deposits his small checks faster and with more excitement than I deposit big checks.  He inherited his money (didn't earn 90% of it), but he still works hard everyday, and is thrifty like this.

His girlfriend spends money like crazy, he does wear nice clothing, and his vehicle is in decent shape for being a 95.

What's the deal?  I know people that make there own money, and live the way they always did, but isn't this rare with people that have inherited everything?
