1-RR posting a scan of a check from the promoter which he says bounced, 2-Ron running out of the toilet with his pants on his hands to douse the flames 15 minutes later saying it is not the IFBB's fault, 3-Ron coming back later on to proclaim that RR was to blame as he refused to be payed this way implying this was due to tax dodging reasons. From where I stand there is no reason to believe Ron's word above that of RR. I trust neither of them when it comes to money and bbing
Slate, cool discussion and I will answer the questions. First, I have nothing against Robbie Robinson at all, he was a great bodybuilder. I do have a problem with him saying something that is not true, and blaming the IFBB. Obviously, they are not involved with 'guest' posing fees, simple point. Second, after a took a shit playing 15 minutes of Angry Birds on the toilet, I checked it out and posted saying it isnt 'cool' that the promoter would do this. Not a few hours later, I got an email (no calls) from the promoter with the Paypal Transaction sent on Dec 10th with the Trans Id#, email where it went and more info. Sent Dec 10th. Done deal. Paid. Once it was refused that way and reversed (via Paypal), the check was sent. It wasnt cashed because RR wanted another name on it. Normally, I dont care. BUT, once it was posted with a check and a statement like that, come on now. Honestly, it wasnt fair to the promoter. So yes, you dont need to take my word on it. But I have the proof. I have been accused of many things, and trying to hurt the promoter like that... well. It should of been kept private.
1-where did the money for this show come from when it was clearly going to be a money loser. And no there are no moronic jarkas roving the world throwing good money away unless there is a good reason for it (tax dodgers concerned: look here please- not RR's measly $$s). 2-how many little and big piggies feasted on the banquet ( from the IFBB fees to sean ray's 'most improved bber' prize and his 'consulting' fees). 3-who the fuck called ron while he was doing god knows what and instructed him to post within 15 minutes of RRs original post and why were they so scared
Your question on where the money came is a good one. I have heard many instances, from investments, to book earnings, to people who love the sport and wanted to see the legends on stage one more time. For you, $400,000 is a lot of money. For someone else, it is a price of a car. Ah, the banquet. Yes, they feasted, and why not. Someone giving you free food after a contest, why not. Has it been done before. Quite a few times. This one was just more lavish. Can't blame them. As for calling me, no one called me. You may not beleive me, but I give you my words on my kids. It just wasnt fair. Same if it was true, then I would be upset at the promoter. You may think it is baised one way, but it isnt. As for Shawn Ray's fees, yes, it is a lot, same with some of the guest posing fees, and more. But this was for over a years worth on 'consulting' on this project, and whereas did not come as it was envisioned, and perhaps, we may not see the light of this again, it still was a cool evening (which I was invited to, but did not go, because of family commitments).

You may not like Musclecenter''s or someone else physique, but in every country, in many areas, there can be a demand for someone, whereas consulting, guest posing or giving out seminars. Free hotel, free transport, per dium in food, expenses and fees are ways of being compensated. The best part is that in a free economy, someone can choose to do it or not, to hire the guest poser or to go to an event. Can't blame anyone for that. If someone gives JWoww $20,000 to come to the Arnold for a weekend, then anything can happen. Respect.
