Must be shocking to find out that there are actually natural born strongmen. And here you are still looking pretty much the same, and lifting the same after 10 to 15 years of faithfully working out. Even if using a cycle now and then. In which case, going off any cycle ,just about reverting back to what you looked like before.
Seen quite a few high school and college athletes pop up 400+ in the bench, without chemical "boosters". My two cousins, for example, handling over 400 for reps in regular workouts, at 17 & 18 years old. In sports (even high school) you come before blood/DNA/RNA test fairly often.
Those "fake" plates sure did rattle & shake (as the bar was given a slight been at the ends) during the reps. Garage gym's, with the basic of equipment (BB/DB, bench, lat pulldown, squat racks, etc) will ,and have, produced some very strong and large men in the past.
Mike C reminds me a bit of Casey Viator. Some old stories about Viator, as a teenager and his natural power, are very impressive.
