For a variety of reasons, including just being a lazy ass, I have not been to the gym in over a month. Moreover, since I had back trouble in December and was going to physical therapy, I dialed my workout way back in terms of how much weight I was lifting. Anyway, I find that when I am out of that environment, my perspective changes. Guys who looked normal start looking like overblown hulks. So, now I am considering slimming down even more than I have these past couple of months. I was 201 lbs. this morning. A couple of months ago, when I was working out six days a week, drinking several protein drinks a day and eating four or five times a day, I weighed near 220 lbs. Honestly, I believe I could weigh in at 175 or 180 and probably look better. Not only that, I could buy a new wardrobe.
Many of the competitive bodybuilders today are really monster muscle freaks who almost look inhuman when you look at them from a normal perspective. Maybe it's my age (old) but I'd rather be healthy, Slim and fit then hugely muscled and probably sick.
